credit card asks me to update profile online?
Just received a notice from my Discover card, asking me to call or go online to update my profile, specifically occupation information (ok, I can understand that) and CITIZENSHIP? Is this legal??

Be very careful in responding to this kind of request -- especially if it comes to you in the form of an email! This could be a "phishing" attempt to gain information about your account. Do not use the link on any email you might have received. And do not call the phone number on the notice. Instead, call them directly at 1-800-DISCOVER. As for the request re citizenship, I can understand that there might be a need to know your citizenship for legitimate reasons. After all, Discover is a global brand. But first make sure you're talking to the real company and not some scam artist!
