Yes, doing it myself! The tax deduction is far more valuable this year than next -- when only $10,000 of state and local tax deductions are allowed. If you live in the Chicago area, go to www.cookcountytreasurer.com to find your bill using your address, and pay your bill online this week! Similar programs apply in Lake and DuPage counties in Illinois-- and at state treasurers' offices around the country.
