Free, safe credit report
Can you provide a safe website to order a free credit report? I am very concerned I will give sensitive information to a scammer. My score recently decreased for no reason. Thank you.

The ONLY place to get a truly FREE credit report, without being required to sign up for some watchdog service, is www.AnnualCreditReport.com. There you will find links to the three major credit bureaus -- Experian, Equifax, and Transunion. You are entitle to one free credit report from EACH bureau, every year. I'd start with Equifax since they had that breach. You can get your report online, securely -- and immediately -- online. They will ask questions that only you will be able to answer (about past credit accounts, addresses, and names, etc), so you can feel confident that this private information will not be shared with anyone impersonating you.
