Should I freeze my credit if I am in the process of applying for a auto loan?

By Terry Savage on September 25, 2017 | Credit/Debt

I am in the process of purchasing a new car. I will need to finance a portion of the total cost. What happens if I put a freeze on my credit? I want to be protected from identity theft, but will a credit freeze affect me when applying for an auto loan?

Terry Says

There is no way you can get an auto loan without the lender seeing your credit report!  So don't put the freeze on yet~!   You might want to go to your bank or credit union and get pre-approved for a loan, so that you can freeze sooner.
