Small business health insurance — help in Chicago area!

By Terry Savage on November 20, 2017 |

I read your article in the Tribune today. I own a company and am on Medicare. My only employee is my wife and I have been told that we cannot get a corporate health insurance plan because she is my wife and that we need another employee in order to obtain coverage. Is that correct or does the Small Business Special Enrollment period offer an option. This is quite important to use because she is not eligible for Medicare.

If you read it in the Chicago Tribune, contact a Chicago expert on this topic:  Jordan Wishner at www.thehealthinsuranceshoppe.com in Chicago.  If you have been paying your wife, she counts as the one employee who can buy insurance in this period.
