Ask Terry Questions spending tracker

spending tracker

I’m sure you mentioned this before but can’t find it. I’m looking for a good tracker for expenses, something so I can easily see where I’m spending my money, possibly something free.

Thanks!

Terry Says:  Very easy.  Go to Mint.com and download the free ap for your smartphone.  It will follow you everywhere — and give you text reminders when you’re exceeding budgeted categories!  It’s free because they also send you text messages about lower-rate credit cards, etc.

Also look at the   ap store at Apple.  There is a free program you can download called “Spending Tracker” that is getting good reviews.  I haven’t tried it though.

Or if you want to keep that info on your desktop computer there is nothing like Quicken.  It will cost about $49.95 but you don’t have to update every year.  That will organize all your checking, and even create categories for spending within your credit card bills.  And it will show you how to budget, create categories, and then track your spending vs your budget.  Either way, you’re on top of your money.
