403B — safety inside retirement plan?

If bonds may take hit soon, how would you diversify your 403B with only 2 years to retirement? Stock,bonds,international?

Terry Says:  This is a problem with company retirement plans.  They are designed for younger people in the accumulation phase — and history says that over the long run — IF you have the long run! — you will make money in a diversified stock portfolio.   But there are few places to hide from market downturns in a retirement plan. Consider the equity income funds,  or balanced funds, which could help you mitigate market declines. And have plenty of safe, chicken money outside your retirement plan to balance things out.
