financial advisor

We are meeting with a Geiger Wealth manager. I want to know if they sell only annuities and who would you recommend. My husband is 5 years from retirement and we have most of our savings with Fidelity Thank you Cheryl

I don't know anyone at Geiger Wealth Management, so this is nothing personal.   But they are an investment advisory firm that charges both fees and commissions, depending on the products.  I've always believed  you could do it less expensively yourself, using Fidelity or Vanguard, and their far less expensive funds, and general asset allocation advice.  Please read the latest article on my website, about how you can buy immediate annuities direct, without using a broker or advisor who will charge fees and commissions, by going to www.SPIA.direct -- not dot-com, but dot-direct.  SPIA stands for "single premium immediate annuity."
