Ask Terry Questions how to invest

how to invest

By Terry Savage on October 28, 2014 | Investments

Terry,
i am 54 years old. i have a mortgage of about $80,000.00 with an interest rate of 3.35%.
i have about &75,000 in the bank from the sale of my previous home. i need advice on how to invest the money. i don’t think it makes sense to pay of the mortgage due to my low interest rate. I currently have a 401 at work and an IRA from a previous employer worth about $95,000.00. I am single, conservative and like to keep some cash available. (old school training from parents!)
How would you invest the $75,000.00 and with who? Thanks for any advice you may have and for the job you do!!

Terry Says:  How much of that $75,000 are you willing to put at risk of loss?  When you give me that answer I can point you in the right direction.
