Pension

By Terry Savage on January 22, 2016 | Financial Planning / Retirement

I have a TIAACREF and IMRF pension account. How do I choose the funds to invest in? I am 58 and hope to work at least 10 more years. Thanks!

Terry Says:  You’re fortunate that you’re working with TIAA-CREF.  They have advisors for pre-retirees, helping them choose funds.  (And I’m assuming that you’re referring to your 403(b) account that allows those choices, not the traditional defined benefit plan that is likely provided by your state or school district.)   Here’s a link to the “retirement advisor” at the TIAA-CREF website.  Create an account and take advantage of the advice they offer.
