401K Fidelity plt 2030 u

By Terry Savage on March 19, 2020 |

I am 62 I plan on retiring in about 4 years. putting 9% each pay check plus company’s 3 %.

With virus I went from 320K to 265K.
What should I do? how to adjust funds? should I keep putting $ in for next few months?
Thank you!

Please read my recent columns — from a month ago — advising you to find the “safest” place INSIDE your 40l(k) plan. It’s a bit late now to make that move, but you might consider switching some on any brief upswing in the market. As long as you have enough “liquidity” — cash OUTSIDE your plan, and aren’t going to withdraw for a few years, you should keep investing to get the match. It takes guts, but no one can tell where the “bottom” is — and we will eventually rebound from this crisis. Just don’t know when “eventually” is!
