Essential employees get nothing from the government!
Essential employees get nothing from the government. We are putting our life on the line to serve the public. But the government will not give us nothing extra for serving the public at this time. Don’t we deserve something extra for doing this? I am 65 and could stay home. Collect unemployment plus get $600 a week from the government. Please help me understand this. Thanks ahead of time. I agree, the irony here is huge. To you and many others – including the self-employed who also just get one $1200 payment — I have no answer. CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVE IN CONGRESS!
