Stimulus payment website problem
Hi Terry,
I am retired and have not received my stimulus payment. So I went to the Get my Payment IRS site, and it said that it needed my bank information. This part asks me to enter my adjusted gross income, which was 13000, then if I received a refund or owed money, but my taxable income was 0. So when I enter this information, I get an error message to redo.
Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do?
Thank you for your help.

This is just one of the many things wrong with this website. It is driving people crazy.
If you are retired and receiving Social Security, then you don’t have to do ANYTHING. The stimulus payment will come automatically to the same place you receive your SS monthly — likely in mid-May.
If you are retired and filed a tax return but did not put in direct deposit information, then the check will come in the mail to the address on your latest return, either 2018 or 2019. Again, you don’t have to do anything.
ONLY if you are retired, not filed taxes in two years, and not receiving SS retirement benefits do you have to register!
Stay away from that website!
