Corona Stimulus Check
Have heard you discuss this on WGN, but not lately. Any idea on when (or how I can check) I will receive my stimulus check. Submitted my 2019 tax statement in January of 2020 and received a refund, by mail, in February 2020. I expect to receive payment by mail, but when?? I check in irs.gov but information is simply that I am entitled to a payment. Gross income for 2019 was about $76,000, filed jointly, husband died in March of 2019, so additional question is will I receive payment for him as well. Any help or assistance you can give me is appreciated.

It should come any day to the address on the return. Be patient. And yes, you will get a stimulus check for your late husband. For now,deposit it. The Treasury Secty recently casually demanded they be returned — but there is NO WAY to return the check, and the law says anyone who filed a 2019 return is entitled to it. They are even sending out checks with the word “deceased” on it! So just worry about it when they get around to it in a year or two if ever. There will likely be a huge lawsuit — and the law specifically says they can’t “claw back” stimulus payments!!
