Unemployment IDES/Debit card
I applied for unemployment on 3-30 and was approved. The 1st payment was supposedly put on a debit card 4-20. I never received the card. I changed to direct deposit and the 2nd payment was sent to the bank on 5-1. I cannot get through to “Key 2” to find out where the card went. IDES told me the payments were released and there is nothing the state can do. Ms. Savage what do I do now? Thank you for trying to help us, you’re a blessing.

The good news is that IDES is opening a new call center this coming week, and calling back more of its employees to deal with existing call centers. Lots of people have problems like yours or like missing the $600 federal benefit, or getting cards that simply don’t register payments.
So my best advice is to start calling this coming week — and keep at it — because you have a much better chance of getting a real person! (And if you don’t get through in the next three weeks, please do write back and remind me!)
