Ask Terry Questions Stimulus Check

Stimulus Check

By Terry Savage on June 12, 2020 | Wild Card

I check the IRS site everyday and still see the message that they do not have enough information yet/not eligible. We are definitely eligible. I was just listening to you on the Roe Conn Show when you were talking about this but they were vacuuming in my office so I didn’t hear everything. I’m now concerned that we may have missed it if they sent the plain white envelope. Would the message on the IRS site change to something else telling us it’s on the way or could we have missed it? Thank you.

Terry Says

If you filed a tax return, you WILL receive a stimulus check in the mail, or a debit card in a white envelope — and the are still in the process of sending those out, so don’t worry.
As long as you qualified based on income, and were not declared a dependent on someone else’s 2018 or 2019 return, and as long as you are not behind in child support, your stimulus payment will come!!
Be patient! It’s like waiting for your luggage at the airport. Someone’s bag has to come off the carousel last!
