Investments, chicken money — Get Back In?
I moved money in my reg IRA with Price and my Roth IRA with Vanguard into their money market accounts back on March when things looked pretty bleak. So my money is safe but definitely not growing. I’m wondering about easing back into stock funds with them – keeping it all within the IRAs. Is that advisable at this time? What’s a fairly safe way to do that if advisable, considering anything can happen? Today the S&P gained back all its losses. Thank you.

You are among many investors who did the smart thing in protecting their gains from the previous bull market. You probably saved yourself a lot of anguish in the process. It would have been a better strategy to move only half of your money but that’s hindsight.
I’m just about to post a new column about that issue so please check back to my website over the weekend. In the meantime, read this great analysis of whether the market is now “overpriced.” Hint: The market is ALWAYS right!
