When to take my Social Security what is the best stage how long should I wait

By Terry Savage on October 18, 2020 | Financial Planning / Retirement

Is there a best stage or time to take my Social Security benefits I hear a lot of 66 and six months wait as long as you can take it as soon as you can I’m at a loss as to what to do

Terry Says

Definitely wait until your full retirement age. And if you are still working, defer until age 70 if you possibly can — unless you foresee a shortened life expectancy. Delaying gives you a higher base on which future inflation adjustments will be made. And inflation will return. Don’t worry about them “running out.” They can always print the money — and by then seniors will all be activists!
