ETF investment for retirement
I have a 401k and pension, but I am considering buying an ETF. I am retired but not on social security. Is ETF a good investment and how do I get start?

At this point, since you are retired — and don’t know much about investing — I would suggest that any extra money you have stay in the bank in a money market deposit account. You won’t make any money — but more importantly, you won’t LOSE any money!
And this is the time to examine how your 40l(k) is invested, since you’re retired. Are you comfortable with your investment choices inside the plan? Without knowing more about your age/stage/financial resources, I can’t give advice. BUT you must avoid the army of financial “planners/advisors” who just want to earn commissions by urging you to “roll over” your 40l(k) to another investment. I suggest consulting a fee-only financial planner. One meeting should be all you need.
