Stimulus
Good morning.
I have a 26yr old autistic son who did not get any of the last stimulus checks as he doesn’t file taxes. I know that on this next round they have made changes and exceptions to adult dependents. I do file him on my taxes as a disabled adult dependent and he lives with me full time.
Here are a few questions.
Will he qualify this time?
Is there something I need to do to ensure he gets it?
Will I have to file that as income for him next year.
Thank you in advance.

First of all, he CAN get both of the earlier stimulus checks by filing his OWN return for 2020, if he has any income, and you don’t declare him as a dependent. read this article.
File immediately, electronically, and put in bank direct deposit info for him — even if you have to open an account. Then thety wilol send the next $1400 stimulus to him –not to you since he won’t be your dependent.
