American Cares Act and my mortgage/property taxes

By Terry Savage on April 04, 2021 |

Hi Terry,
I am behind on my real estate taxes and mortgage payments and hoa dues since Covid 19

My question is their any assistance and where to apply under the American Care Act bill

Terry Says

You need to get immediate help, or your home may be sold for back property taxes, or foreclosed for non-payment of your mortgage. Start by calling your mortgage servicer immediately to see if they have any programs. If you can’t afford an attorney look for a legal aid clinic. There is no specific mortgage help under the Cares act, but many states and municipalities are eetting up programs to help avoid foreclosures and evictions once the ban on them is lifted. I hope you rceived your $1400 stimulus –See if your mortgage lender will make some kind of deal to extend the term of your loan if you use your stimulus money to pay down what you owe. Contact your county property tax collector to see if they are offering forbearance. DO ALL OF THIS RIGHT NOW before these issues go to court!
