My husband and I recently invested money in low risk funds, we have never invested before. I am now terrified, we put in 40k, i want to pull half out to just keep in the bank, is that ok to do. we are 59 and 60 .

There’s an old saying in the stock market: “Sell down to the sleeping point.” You and your husband might have a different risk tolerance. You’re not going to get rich on this money — but in a bear market you could lose money. You have my permission to sell half. Then you will either be half right. Or half wrong! we won’t know for a while!
