Common Share stock certificate
A share gifted to my son (30 years ago) has the incorrect social.
What do I do? Thank you

Do you have the stock certificate? If so, turn it over and on the back will be listed a bank “transfer agent.” Contact them about this certificate. If you want to sell it, you’ll have to take it to a brokerage firm, and they will require a signature guarantee. And the fees may be worth more than the one sure — unless it’s Berkshire Hathaway or Apple!!
