First time investor going into the market now, good or bad!
I am a widow and sold my house this past Fall. I have been thinking of investing some of the proceeds of the house. I am 75 yrs. old now and would like to have the money grow for my children one day. Now it seems with the threat of a possible war and volatile economy I am hesitant to proceed. I would welcome your thoughts!

First of all, we will only know if this is a “good time to invest” in hindsight!
But ask yourself this: How much of this money are you willing to lose????
I thought not!! So leave your money in the bank. Who knows what life will bring. Maybe even consider a long term care insurance policy combined with life insurance (search my columns for advice) –so that if you don’t need the money for care, your beneficiaries will get the death benefit.
This is definitely NOT the time for a first-time speculator to get into the market!!
