Social Security

Hi Terry, I’m 65.7 months old and no longer working. I’ve been talking money out of my IRA’s to meet my living expenses. I had planned to wait until 12/2022 for full retirement SS benefits, but the difference isn’t that great to wait.
Should I wait? Thanks,

Terry Says

Definitely wait. The difference is HUGE — over the long run. About 8% a year. PLUS a higher base on which future inflation adjustments will be made. Consider some part time work for the next year or two!!
