Registering for Treasury Direct Account
Hi Terry,
I am interested in acquiring the series I bonds (and possibly the T bonds also) which you spoke of on WGN radio.
I visited the Treasury Direct website to register. With that, it asks whether to register as an individual or in a a trust.
I plan on using my money market (bank savings account) for this transaction which is in a trust under my name.
Should I elect to check the “individual” or the “Trust” radio button?

A big high 5 to you for the services you provide! I would have never known about these treasury deals without your expertise.

I’m assuming you’re talking about a Revocable Living Trust, which uses your SS number. If that’s the case, definitely open your account in the name of the trust. And check the box marked “trust”.
