Revocable Living Trust – Successor Trustee
Listened to your excellent Aetna Medicare presentation today and have a question regarding successor trustees.
Both my spouse and I are US citizens. Our daughter is a Permanent Resident (Green Card) living in the US, but not a US citizen. What issues, if any, are there in having her as a successor trustee for our revocable living trusts?

I checked with an attorney who is an expert on this. The answer is, yes, your daughter can serve as your successor trustee, no problem. But she should never give up her green card or foreign tax issues could arise!
