I Bond — distraught
I am so distraught by your advise or broadcast I don’t know where to start. On the WGN program Wednesday 10/19 you said it would be so easy to apply for and purchase bonds by just going to TreasuryDirect.gov but you did not tell the truth. This experience is still unfinished and it has been a nightmare. I have been on my computer for hours. First ,it was to apply for an account, then, it was to register your computer and then , who the 7734 knows what else! I became frightened of what was going on or being asked that I ended the session. This broadcast was not honest or helpful. If you can direct me to someone, that would be nice after all the confusion and trouble today. Thanks if you can. If not, I don’t know what to do.

Guess what! You already did it!! I was on the phone with Treasury today and read them your distraught post!
They took your email address, which is all I know about you, and were able to find your account. All they would tell me is that it is OPEN — AND you made a purchase!! So congratulations!
Check into your account, and look under the “holdings” tab and you will see your purchase. (I feel like a Magician tonight!!)
