US Saving Bonds Series EE
Have about 15 Series EE Bonds, purchased between 1996 and 2004. Should I cash them in now. Face value of Bonds between $100 and $200 at Maturity.

Use this link to go to TreasuryDirect to value your bonds, and get instructions for cashing them in.
BUT remember two things — since those bonds have not “matured” yet.
First, those bonds may be paying a high interest rate that was set at the time you purchased them. You’d want to keep them if that’s the case and you don’t really need the money.
Second, you will pay ordinary income taxes on the gains when you sell them. And if you sell them all at one time, that might bump you into a higher tax bracket (or Medicare Part B premium bracket).
