Series I Savings Bond
I purchased savings bond on Oct 19, 2022 IAAA and haven’t heard or received anything from the Treasury Dept. Shouldn’t I have received something from the Treasury Dept indicating we have purchased these saving bonds?
I was under the impression that interest would not be applied for 6 months. Do I have to declare this on my taxes?
Outside of going to their website I have no proof of purchase that we bought these bonds. Would appreciate any information you can give me.

Well, if you see it in your TreasuryDirect account, you own it!! No paper involved.
And you don’t have to declare the interest until you cash in the bond — hopefully at least 5 years in the future.
