Vanguard Cash Plus
Hi Terry!
I recently got an email ad from Vanguard regarding their Vanguard Cash Plus Account. It has a 4.25% APY. It says the APY will vary. I currently have an account with them ..a mix of bonds and stocks with a settlement fund I’m drawing from till I reach full retirement age in September. A 4.25% percent yield sounds pretty good right now. It’s not alot of money. Around 128,000. Should I put the funds in there. All, some or not at all. Thanks!
Terry Says
Yes, do it. It is only offered to larger Vanguard clients. It’s an FDIC-insured account, and no reason not to use it. Double check to see if they will set up an automatic monthly transfer to your checking account, though.
