Hey Terry,
Is it a good idea to roll over my IRA, $100,000, into a four year CD, at 5.3% ?
it’s not my entire IRA
it’s insured with Corbridge finanical

Yes, you can do a partial rollover to a bank. However, I am not aware of ANY FDIC-insured CDs carrying rate over 5%. So just make sure you aren’t rolling into a scam investment!

I’m pretty sure that you could get at least 4% in a government securities money market fund, and you could use this rollover advice to move to such a fund at Fidelity or Vanguard.
