Bonds & Treasury bills

By Terry Savage on August 14, 2025 | Financial Planning / Retirement

Hello Ms.Savage,
I am a 62 yr old investor. I got your book I believe at a thrift book store sometime in 2018 & am at the middle part of your book. I have a fidelity & shcwab brokerage acct. I don’t have any savings Almost half of my SS $ money goes to funding my husband’s & my life insurance policy. I would like to know if you could possibly do a YouTube video on bonds & T-Mobile bills. You explain things in rudimentary terms that the average person can understand & I think you would help so many people. If I was in Chicago I would so watch your financial segment Everytime you came on but I live in FL. I look forward to your response. Have a great day!🌻

Well, first — I’m glad the Savage Truths still apply, even at a thrift bargain! The basics remain the same.

I’d need to know more about your situation — but wondering why you are still paying for life insurance at this stage — whether you need it, and whether it is priced fairly. Someone likely sold this to you at an earlier stage of your life. Your shouldn’t be spending your only income on life insurance!

I’d love to help you connect with someone you can trust to go over your situation. Read this: https://www.terrysavage.com/pam-krueger-wealthramp/

Assuming you have money in brokerage accounts as you describe above, this is the time to have someone who is not trying to sell you anything review your entire financial situation. Even one meeting could set you on the right track!
