Series I Bonds
I had opened this Bond 2 years ago and i now want to close the account. I went on Treasury Direct and cannot see how I can just close account and transfer the funds back into my bank account. I’m so confused and dont want to misstep. Can you help?

Well, you will be penalized 3 months loss of interest if you sell before holding for 5 yrs.
But if you still want to sell, go to the “manage direct” tab in your Treasury Direct account, and just say you want to redeem those bonds. It will take a few weeks, but the proceeds, minus the penalty, will drop back into your linked account.
