Getting Ready to Retire who do we need in our corner for assistance
Hi Terry we have a financial planner who has been doing our investments for the past 37 years. We are now getting ready to start retirement in 2026. We have an accountant that does are taxes don’t we also need a financial account to help us head off paying way to high of taxes.
My husband parents only used their financial planner and this is all my husband thinks we need. I believe we need others and I remember my mother in law saying her accountant would tell her yearly she was paying way too high of fee to them.
I know you have mentioned searching for a Fiduciary Financial advisor but my husband feels like he needs to be loyal to these investor. I am so nervous we are heading into retirement with foggy glasses.

This is the perfect time for a second opinion! You’d do that if you needed surgery. Why follow advice blindly when it comes to this important time of life. You may find out that your person has done a wonderful job. then again, you might find a fee-only FIDUCIARY advisor who can handle your future income planning, your investments, and your tax situation –as well as advise on your estate plan. It’s certainly worth it to set up a free first meeting.
Pam Krueger of Wealthramp will connect you with two or three good matches. She’s great at that.
