Pretax 403B vs Roth

By Terry Savage on December 21, 2025 | Financial Planning / Retirement

I’m 72 years old still working full-time and just switched from my 403B to a Roth because I have intention of working five more years. Was this a good move or should I go back to my traditional 403B pretax

Terry Says

It’s probably a good idea to diversify some of your retirement assets into a Roth. They won’t be subject to RMDs. But are you missing out on a company match in the 403b? That might be the deciding factor.
