How to Invest
Hi Terry, I only have $5000 to invest. What’s the best strategy to build on this? Short term preferred, but may consider long term. I just retired and I want to leave him something other than my life insurance which wouldn’t be much.

How much of this money are you willing to lose??
If the answer is “none” they just put it in a one-year CD at your bank. Should earn about 3.25% — just beating inflation.
If the answer is 50%, then buy a stock market mutual fund at Fidelity or Vanguard.
