401K

My husband is 70 and I am 74. What would you recommend investing our money in our 401k’s.

Terry Says

I’m assuming you are no longer working for the company that holds your 40lk plans. In that case, please read this column: https://www.terrysavage.com/rollover-now/

You should follow the instructions and do a direct rollover to a place like Fidelity, Vanguard, or Schwab — There you’ll have a wider choice of more conservative investments for retirees. Plan investments inside a 40lk are typically more aggressive because they are intended for younger workers who can take more risk.
