irs refund
I did not put a bank account number on my IRS form and are getting money back. I received a letter with the subject “we couldn’t deposit your 2025 form 1040-SR refund”
I do not have a smart phone and sent a copy of my drivers liscence and social security card as described in the letter/ I received emails that they received this info and my documents are awaiting for review. Its been 2 weeks and i have not heard anything. Any idea how long this will take?

Oh my. Everything is done electronically these days. Next year, you must get some free help in doing your tax return. Every year I publish a link to no-cost, reputable tax help.
Now, you’ll have to get some help going online to the IRS at this link:
https://www.irs.gov/refunds
I’m afraid it’s going to take weeks til they get around to rearranging your return to mail you a check.
