Retirement funds
I am a retired government employee and I receive a full monthly pension. I am 72 and have not taken any RMDs. I have funds in an IRA, that is doing well. I have funds in my Thrift Savings account. My Thrift account is in very conservative funds and only earning less than 3%. I would like to move these funds to earn slightly more than that, yet stay conservative. Since I receive a pension, I’ve been fortunate that I haven’t had to withdraw these funds and will, hopefully, only need to take RMDs. Can you suggest a few funds that I can move this money to? Thank you for any information.

When you are inside the Thrift Savings Plan you are limited to the choices offered. Now that you are retired, you can do a rollover into a Rollover IRA. Here is the TSP fact sheet on doing a rollover.
And read this general article on Rollovers so you understand the process:

Once you do the rollover, you can invest conservatively, and leave some money in a money market fund for easy RMDs. But you’ll want to do it THIS year, before you are subject to RMDs next year.
