Treasury Direct I-Series Bond
Hello. I purchased $5k I-Series bond via Treasury Direct back in January of 2022 per your column as there was a great rate being offered at that time. How soon can I redeem this without significant penalty? Thank you.

The rate adjusts every 6 months to keep up with inflation. You must hold the Ibond for 5 years to avoid a penalty of 3 months loss of interest.
