1099 self-employed

Hello Terry

I am a 1099 independent contractor. I filed for unemployment on 3/30/20. On 4/7 I sent in my 1099 for 2019. I did not send in my 2018 1099. If I figured it out correctly my 2018 1099 is needed to determine my base period.Which by the way has higher income. Should I fax in my 2018 1099? I have been certifying for my benefits every 2 weeks. I don’t want to slow down the process.

It can’t hurt to add that to your file. And your benefits are retroactive to the date you became unemployed, so although it might delay your payment, you’ll still get it all!
