1099G

Love listening to you on WGN. My spouse received unemployment in 2020 from IL. He elected to have everything sent to him electronically. He has yet to receive his 1099G and when we try to access it on the IDES website it says unavailable since no benefits have been received in 8 years. We’ve been on the IDES call back list for almost a week. Do you know if they have issued 1099Gs yet? The website says by the end of January but its already the 28th.

I have yet to hear about anyone receiving a 1099 from Illinois. They are probably still trying to get their fraud list reconciled to the 1099 file! Anyway, they mail them. So you are dealing with both IDES and the US Postal Service. What could be a worse combination! Be patient.
