2020 Tax Refund missing

Quick question, I submitted tax returns for my 2 daughters in 2020, my first time doing my own taxes so I probably did something wrong, but we haven’t received the refund. I did it electronically through a free tax website. I’ve plugged information into IRS website and nothing. What number can I call to actually talk to a human being?

You can’t. But here’s what you should do:
First create an ID.me account using links in this article: https://www.terrysavage.com/create-an-irs-account-for-info/
Then check on the IRS website: Where’s My Refund? https://www.irs.gov/refunds
The idea is to confirm whether a refund was ever issued.
If it was, use the Form 3911 lost refund claim procedure.
If it wasn’t, file Form 1040-X.
