Ask Terry Questions 401K Funds

401K Funds

By Terry Savage on June 03, 2023 | Investments

Terry,
I have a 401K through my employer. It is split up into various funds up to 100% for a good return on my money. Currently, I am highly concerned because of the debt ceiling and a possible stock market crash. With having my 401K invested in stocks and bonds, should I temporarily move my percentages into my cash until things settle?
Thank you.

Well that problem is solved already! And the stock market obviously seems to like the deal.

I would have advised that your 40l(k) plan is for the long term, and you should believe in the future of America for the long term. That means investing in a diversified stock portfolio.
