401K Retirement

By Terry Savage on May 28, 2022 | Investments

I’m collecting my 2nd RMD this year from my company 401k. I have this retirement money with
Fidelity in Pru Stable Value Fund. I need to be conservative with this money. Please share your input about Pru Stable Value Fund particularly in this financial atmosphere. I keep my equities with
dividend stocks with another broker. Thanking you in advance for your time.

I think you’re lucky to have the “stable value” fund option in your plan. It pays a higher rate of interest than a MM fund. And I’m assuming your other investments are OUTSIDE your retirement plan, where you can reap capital gains instead of having the money come out taxed as ordinary income when you sell those stocks.
