Essential workers
Hi Terry why I would like to stay anonymous I would like this issue to be discussed I am in the automobile industry have been for going on 22 years due to the crisis of chips and the lack of inventory and the tools needed to be success And to make A living it has been devastating and will continue to be devastating from my knowledge until next summer I work for a dealership will we make $400 a week we have to sell 15 to 20 cars a month to be on a pay scale we are not on commission as of Covid this is extremely stressful and difficult along with that I get paid normally by General Motors based on 10 cars or more which could average 2000 and 3000 a month that is paid quarterly due to the lack of new cars or any cars we will not be seeing bonuses that suffice our income GM just released we could sell eight new cars a month they’ll pay us $200 a car this is literally impossible when you don’t have a cars on any lot at one time we are selling cars that have not arrive which delivery can take 2 to 3 months or longer the owners are happy they got a bill out they don’t have rebates they’re getting all their money on new and used cars while the employees are suffering drastically knowing that we won’t have a bonus coming from General Motors for months maybe years to come it’s pay quarterly if we don’t sell new cars we won’t have anything to look forward too I just pray this issue can be addressed for the employees that we are essential workers and we are suffering and have been for months
