adding new bank account to treasury direct
I had no the trouble adding my regular bank account to treasury direct. However when I tried to add my Morgan Stanley savings account – – they could not verify it and sent me an email requesting that I get a form notarized and then mail it back to them. Is there a problem with transferring funds from E*TRADE to treasury direct?

No, but the Treasury wants to guard against fraud — and changing a bank account might be considered a sign of fraud. So follow the instructions to get the form notarized.
