Allowed income if you take Social Security

By Terry Savage on December 08, 2024 | Financial Planning / Retirement

Good Day Terry.
I just turned 65. Seasonal worker, April to November. How much money can I earn from payroll if I start taking social security? My full retirement age is 66 and 10 months.

Terry Says

In 2025, individuals who are under full retirement age can earn up to $23,400 annually before their Social Security benefits are reduced. For every $2 earned over this limit, $1 will be withheld from their benefits. This earnings limit is an increase from the previous year’s limit of $22,320.
