An independent fee-only advisor

By Terry Savage on August 05, 2023 | Financial Planning / Retirement

Hi Terry,
I have about $950,000 in IRAs and also $200,000 in a savings account. Half of the IRAs are in a managed account with Vanguard. Other investments are with T Rowe Price and LPL Financial. I also have a generous monthly pension. I’m 80, single, no children, but have a large and wonderful family.

What I’m looking for his someone who will look at what I have, especially the large amount of cash in a savings account, and advise about the decisions I’ve made over the years. Two years ago, I hired an advisor who described herself as independent. It didn’t go well when she shifted to promoting investments in the company she represented and that was her only focus.

Is there such a thing as an independent fee-only advisor who will take a look at my investments and decisions I’m making?
Is this this someone I will find on WealthRamp?

Thank you very much,
Mary Schneider
